Hello! I’m John Courtney, and this season, my team of 5 iRide Instructors and I are starting a new iRide After-School program in Quesnel to help young riders learn new skills, build confidence, and make new friends.
Our 2021 spring program, the Gold Rush Cycling Club’s Nuggets presented by iRide, will be 6-weeks long and is designed for ages 8-12, skill level 2-5. We will have 2 groups:
Parents can use the iRide Levels to choose the program that best fits their child’s abilities. Each session includes a few skills, a game, and a bike ride in the neighbourhood. Participants will need to bring a mountain bike (or a kid’s bike with gears), a helmet, and of course, their STOKE!
As recipients of an iRide Development Grant, our instructors have registered with Cycling BC, undergone NCCP-training, and completed a background screening. All sessions are covered by Cycling BC’s insurance policy with Gallagher. and operated under permit with the City of Quesnel (permit pending).
