Cycling BC is proud to showcase private businesses across the province offering youth cycling programs in accordance with our Coach Excellence Policy.
Affiliated businesses often provide after-school programs or school break activities similar to our HopOn program and are designed to get kids out on their bikes.
The programs are most often designed for intermediate riders who exhibit level 4+ abilities. Programs are designed and facilitated by local instructors, and often times numerous skill levels are welcome. Bicycles and other equipment may be available for rent.
Programs and events run by affiliated businesses are not covered by Cycling BC’s insurance. As a result, a Cycling BC membership or HopOn membership is not required to participate.
Affiliated businesses oversee the development of their staff, who may undergo training from the NCCP (National Coaches Certification Program), the PMBIA (Professional Mountain Bike Instructor Association), or an alternative association. To learn more about staff credentials, please consult the affiliated business of interest.
