iRide School: Doncaster

A 3-day event for grade 4+, the iRide in-school program is designed to teach basic cycling skills and safety awareness to students during gym class. Each class receives three 45-60 minute training sessions over three days with the goal of all children achieving skill level 3.  Bicycles and helmets are provided for students, however, it is recommended that they bring their own.

Our curriculum is recognized by the BC Ministry of Education’s Prescribed Learning Outcomes and targets students in grades 4 to 6. Sessions can be run on all-weather fields, grass fields, and paved areas.  The program is designed for students who can already ride; however, those still learning will work their teacher, with support from our staff, to fast-track their skills and confidence and join the rest of their class when they’re ready.
