iRide begins on Haida Gwaii.
In partnership with iRide Instructor Boby Wagner, Cycling BC was very proud to bring our physical literacy bike skills and games program to the young children of Masset, on the island of Haida Gwaii.
“It was so exciting to run the first iRide program in Masset here on Haida Gwaii!! We had so much fun learning new skills and getting to reconnect after so much time spent apart due to covid,” said Wagner “I can’t wait to see new and returning faces next session and to hopefully bring programs to more communities across the island in the fall.”
Wagner is an experienced children’s gymnastics coach who applied for an iRide instructor development grant in 2020 and started iRide programs in Terrace last fall. After moving to Masset earlier this year, she ran two spring iRide programs for kids ages 6-12.
Cycling BC would like to extend our congratulations and appreciation to Boby for her ongoing work helping kids explore their world by bicycle. We are excited to learn about Boby’s next pursuit.
