Jordie Lunn Bike Park/Langford Gravity Zone & Nature Trails, Langford, BC (Friday, May 27th) – After a two-year hiatus, BC School Sports has returned with a bang by organizing the annual BC High School Mountain Bike Provincial Championships in Langford, BC.  Hosted in partnership with Belmont Secondary School, Royal Bay Secondary School, Cycling BC, and the City of Langford, the event features a double-header of Cross Country Mountain Bike and Enduro racing at the highly popular Jordie Lunn Bike Park / Langford Gravity Zone & Nature Trails.

Nearly 400 kids will take to the trails representing schools from as far as Burns Lake, Salmon Arm, Bella Bella, Okanagan, Kootenays, Fort St. James, Sunshine Coast, Kimberly, Howe Sound, and many others.

“This is such an awesome thing to see these kids come from all over BC to ride and experience what we have to offer here in the West Shore,” said event organizer, Jim Lamond of School District 62. “It’s a pursuit of passion and seeing all those smiling faces makes it worth it.”

The Jordie Lunn Bike Park and the Langford Gravity Zone & Nature Trails are the crown jewels of the City of Langford, where cycling enthusiasts and nature lovers can explore and experience the ultimate outdoor recreation experience.  Earlier this month, Langford Mayor Stew Young officially announced the construction of a new 5,000 sq. ft. clubhouse at the Jordie Lunn Bike Park that will offer bike rentals, a food concession, and a base of operations for Cycling BC and Cycling Canada.
