HopOn Expo @ Victoria Cycling Festival

Come out and celebrate cycling with us. Our 2022 event includes a race track session for youth wishing to LEARN to carve turns like the pros, an ability-based race for local teens, and a drop-in skills session for all ages. Ride on a closed road course around the BC Legislature! Master the Cycling BC HopOn wooden features and games. Win free prizes and have lots of fun!

Pre-registration is required. We recommend using a computer (not your mobile device) to register. Please note, that this is a free event and for most categories, space is limited; therefore, if you register, please do your best to attend the event.

Programs

  • Race Track Skills Clinic
    • Ages 6-13 yr
    • Learn to carve turns on the closed race track
    • 1:6 adult/child ratio
    • 12 spots available (at this time)
    • Check-in @ 10:45 am
    • Lesson @ 11:00 am – 11:30 am
    • Online registration is required (closes June 4 @ midnight)
  • Youth B Race:
    • Ages 12-14 yr
    • Try a beginner road race on the closed race track (~8 laps)
    • 20 spots available
    • Check-in @ 11:00 am
    • Event @ 11:30 am – 11:40 am
    • Online registration is required (closes June 4 @ midnight)
  • Youth A Race:
    • Ages 13-16 yr
    • Try an intermediate road race on the closed race track (~10 laps)
    • 20 spots available
    • Check-in @ 11:15 am
    • Event @ 11:40 am – 12:00 pm
    • Online registration is required (closes June 4 @ midnight)
  • Skills & Features: 12:30pm – 2pm (Drop-In) (All Ages)
    • All ages
    • Drop-in for 5-15 minutes and master our wooden features or other games
    • Check-in @ 12:15 pm
    • Event @ 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm
    • Day-of registration permitted

To prepare, please bring the following:

  • SMILES!
  • Water, Lunch and snacks,
  • Gloves, All-weather clothing
  • Helmets (CSA approved)
  • Bike with gears and hand brakes
  • Conduct a bike safety check at a registered bike shop
