SUMMARY:iRide Chemainus p/b Chemanius Elementary Bike Club
DESCRIPTION:Hello! I’m Trevor Price\, and this year we are starting an after-school biking group at Chemainus Elementary. \nOur 2021 spring program will be 6-weeks long and is designed for ages 10-11\, skill level 4-5.  Each session includes a few skills\, a game\, and a trail ride near the school. Participants will need to bring a mountain bike (or a kid’s bike with gears)\, a helmet\, and of course\, their STOKE! \nAs recipients of an iRide Development Grant\, our instructors have registered with Cycling BC\, undergone NCCP-training\, and completed a background screening. In addition\, all sessions are covered by Cycling BC’s insurance policy with Gallagher. \nProgram Dates: \n\nMay 6\nMay 13\nMay 20\nMay 27\nJune 3\nJune 10\n\nTo prepare\, please complete the following:\n\nRegister Online\nConduct a bike safety check (try one of iRide’s registered bike shops)\nCheck out iRide’s Frequently Asked Questions section\n\nIf you have any questions\, please send us a message. \nAfterward\, here are some ways to continue cycling:\n\nAccess financial aid from KidSport (up to $400 per year) to cover the cost of this program.
