I’m Stephen Pilcher and over the past 4 seasons\, my team of iRide Instructors and I have enjoyed helping kids in the Nanaimo area build confidence\, friends\, and an appreciation for the challenges of outdoor exercise. \nOur 2021 autumn program\, Thrills & Skills p/b iRide\, will be 6-weeks long and is designed for ages 8-12\, skill level 4-5.  Each session includes a few skills\, a game\, and a trail ride at Diver Lake Park. Participants will need to bring a mountain bike (or a kid’s bike with gears)\, a helmet\, and of course their STOKE! \nAs recipients of an iRide Development Grant\, our instructors have registered with Cycling BC\, undergone NCCP-training\, and completed a background screening. All sessions are covered by Cycling BC’s insurance policy with Gallagher and permitted by the City of Nanaimo. \nProgram Dates: \n\nSept 16\nSept 23\nSept 30\nOct 7\nOct 14\nOct 21\n\nSome of the sessions may include a visit to the Steve Smith Bike Park. \nTo prepare\, please complete the following:\n\nRegister Online\nConduct a bike safety check (try one of iRide’s registered bike shops)\nCheck out iRide’s Frequently Asked Questions section\n\nIf you have any questions\, please send us a message. \nAfterward\, here are some ways to continue cycling:\n\nAccess financial aid from KidSport (up to $400 per year) to cover the cost of this program.
