Each class receives three 45-60 minute training sessions over three days with the goal of all children achieving skill level 3. In addition\, we provide bicycles and helmets for children between 4′ to 5’5″ feet tall at no additional charge. \nOur curriculum matches the BC Ministry of Education’s Prescribed Learning Outcomes and targets students in grades 4 to 6. We teach on all-weather fields\, grass fields\, and paved areas. The program helps students who already know how to pedal on their own. SUMMARY:HopOn School: Hastings Community Elementary
DESCRIPTION:A 3-day event for grade 4+\, the HopOn in-school program (formerly iRide) helps students learn basic cycling skills and safety awareness during gym class. Each class receives three 45-60 minute training sessions over three days with the goal of all children achieving skill level 3. In addition\, we provide bicycles and helmets for children between 4′ to 5’5″ feet tall at no additional charge. \nOur curriculum matches the BC Ministry of Education’s Prescribed Learning Outcomes and targets students in grades 4 to 6. We teach on all-weather fields\, grass fields\, and paved areas. The program helps students who already know how to pedal on their own.
