DESCRIPTION:HopOn Nakusp\, presented by Nakusp & Area Bike Society\n \nHello! I’m Adam Balls and this spring\, my team of HopOn instructors are helping kids in the Nakusp area build confidence\, friends\, and an appreciation for the challenges of outdoor exercise. \nOur 2023 June Thursday program is for Grade 4/5 school students at Nakusp Elementary. Each session includes 2-3 HopOn skills\, games\, and a ride around the school grounds. Participants need to bring their own bicycles and helmets to participate\, however\, some rental bikes may be available. \nThis event is funded by Sport Canada Funding\, providing $20\,000 to the Nakusp & Area Bike Society to access HopOn instructor training and delivery of new youth cycling programs in the community. \nCycling BC’s insurance policy with Gallagher provides sports accident and general liability coverage for instructors and participants. \nAs recipients of a HopOn Development Grant\, our instructors have registered with Cycling BC\, undergone NCCP training\, and completed a background screening (cyclingbc.net/coachregistry). \nProgram Dates: \n\nJune 1\, 2023\nJune 15\, 2023\nJune 22\, 2023\n\nHow do I register?\n\nPAPER WAIVER REGISTRATION ONLY\n\nTo prepare\, please bring the following: \n\nSMILES!\nWater\, Lunch and snacks\,\nGloves\, All-weather clothing\nHelmets (CSA approved)\nConduct a bike safety check at a registered bike shop\n\nPlease review HopOn’s Frequently Asked Questions or send us a message for more information.
