I’m Boby Wagner\, and this year I am excited to offer the iRide cycling skills program here in Masset\, BC.  This will be my 2nd season with Cycling BC’s program\, and I look forward to helping kids in the Masset area build confidence\, friends\, and an appreciation for the challenges of outdoor exercise. \nOur 2021 spring FRIDAY program\, Kermode Kids p/b iRide\, will be 4-weeks long and is designed for ages 6-12\, skill level 3.  Each session includes a few skills\, a game\, and a short bike ride. Participants will need to bring a mountain bike (or a kid’s bike with gears)\, a helmet\, and of course\, their STOKE! \nAs recipients of an iRide Development Grant\, our instructors have registered with Cycling BC\, undergone NCCP-training\, and completed a background screening. SUMMARY:iRide School: Mar Jok Elementary
DESCRIPTION:A 3-day event for grade 4+\, the iRide in-school program is designed to teach basic cycling skills and safety awareness to students during gym class. Each class receives three 45-60 minute training sessions over three days with the goal of all children achieving skill level 3.  Bicycles and helmets are provided for students\, however\, it is recommended that they bring their own. \nOur curriculum is recognized by the BC Ministry of Education’s Prescribed Learning Outcomes and targets students in grades 4 to 6.
