DESCRIPTION:HopOn Chase Summer Drop-In p/b Chase Young Learner’s Society Cycling Club \nHello! I’m Kristen From\, and this summer\, our HopOn Instructors at the Chase Young Learner’s Society Cycling Club are running the HopOn program in the Shuswap Regional District for the 3rd year.  Our program helps young riders learn new skills\, build confidence\, make friends\, and appreciate the challenges of outdoor exercise. \nOur 2023 summer drop-in program includes two groups for riders with skill levels 2-3 or 4-5 (ages 6-12). Each session includes a skill\, a game\, and a bike ride in the community. Each session starts and ends in town at Ashton’s house. Parents are welcome to participate in the session and provide support. Participants will need their bike\, a helmet\, and their STOKE! \nAs recipients of a HopOn Development Grant\, our instructors have registered with Cycling BC\, undergone NCCP training\, and completed a background screening. I’m Sarah Wright\, and this summer\, our HopOn Instructors at the River City Cycling Club are running the HopOn program in Campbell River for the 1st year.  Our program helps young riders learn new skills\, build confidence\, make friends\, and appreciate the challenges of outdoor exercise. \nThis 2023 summer program is for riders with skill levels 3-5 (ages 10-14). Each session includes a skill\, a game\, and a bike ride in the community. Each session starts and ends at Willow Point Park and may include activities in the Beaver Lodge Forest. Parents are welcome to participate in the session and provide support. Participants will need their bike\, a helmet\, and their STOKE! \nAs recipients of a HopOn Development Grant\, our instructors have registered with Cycling BC\, undergone NCCP training\, and completed a background screening. I’m Emeline Bennett and this spring\, Tessa Wang and I wish to create a new after-school biking program for girls in the North Vancouver area. \nOur 2023 June program is for riders with skill level 5 (ages 10-14). Each session includes a skill\, a game\, and a bike ride in the community. Participants need to bring their own bicycles and equipment. Participants may add the purchase of our HopOn T-shirt\, certificate and sticker kit during registration. I’m Adam Balls and this spring\, my team of HopOn instructors are helping kids in the Nakusp area build confidence\, friends\, and an appreciation for the challenges of outdoor exercise. \nOur 2023 June Thursday program is for Grade 4/5 school students at Nakusp Elementary. Each session includes 2-3 HopOn skills\, games\, and a ride around the school grounds.
